Children’s Music Fund Honors Prominent Music Industry Professionals At Its Healing Through Music Gala

10th Anniversary Gala Supports Nonprofit’s Music Therapy Programs for Chronically-Ill Children

LOS ANGELES–Oct. 23, 2018Children’s Music Fund, a leading Los Angeles based children’s music therapy nonprofit, will honor three longtime supporters from the music industry: Jeff Greenberg, CEO of The Village Recording Studios, Michael Lehmann Boddicker, Grammy-award winning film composer, session musician and founder of Synthplex, and Edie Lehmann Boddicker, vocalists and actor, for their unwavering commitment and contributions to the organization at its Healing Through Music Gala, 10th anniversary celebration on Oct. 27. The gala venue is the legendary music location, The Village Recording Studios in West Los Angeles.

The mission of Children’s Music Fund is to bring music therapy into the lives of sick children to help overcome pain, fear, and anxiety. Thanks to the efforts of these dedicated ambassadors, the organization has expanded its music therapy programs to spread the healing of music therapy to more pediatric patients in underserved communities of Los Angeles.

Jeff Greenberg, owner and CEO of The Village Studios in West Los Angeles, is a native Angeleno with music business in his blood. At age 19, Greenberg was already managing his first rock band. Then at the Nederlander Organization, he booked and promoted major artists for the Pantages, Greek Theatre, Pine Knob, and Merriweather Post amphitheaters. As a talent agent for ICM where, with the legendary Tom Ross, he represented artists such as The Kinks, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Heart, Santana, Foreigner, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, and Barry Manilow, among many others. Greenberg is past President, and current Director of the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services (SPARS), Recording Academy P&E (Producers and Engineers) Wing Advisory Board member, and Governor and current Secretary of the Los Angeles Chapter of The Recording Academy.

Dr. Michael Lehmann Boddicker is a composer, producer, synthesist, Grammy Award-winning songwriter and founding partner of Synthplex, an electronic music educational event and festival taking place in Burbank, Calif., March 2019. He currently writes songs and produces music and audio for film at Sol7Post.com in Encino, Calif. Sol7Post has mixed and dubbed projects such as Motley Crue’s The End, The 33, Southpaw for James Horner, Katy Perry, composer Germaine Franco (CoCo) and Herb Alpert’s Grammy-nominated Human Nature. He has scored theatrical films, written music for advertising, designed and programmed sounds, consulted for musical instrument manufacturers, and has produced and played on literally thousands of recordings for artists, movies and commercials. Having served nine terms as both governor and alternate trustee for NARAS (The Grammy Awards people) as well as sitting on the board of The American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers (ASMAC), he currently sits on the board of The Society of Composers & Lyricists and is the Chair of The Hollywood Sapphire Group. Dr. Lehmann Boddicker believes that music can heal hearts, minds, bodies, situations, and relationships. He is honored to be actively involved with the fundraising activities of Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), Claris Health and Children’s Music Fund.

Edie Lehmann Boddicker is one of Los Angeles’ busiest session singers. Her lengthy and ongoing career includes singing, contracting, conducting, and consulting on hundreds of feature films, commercials, recordings, television shows, and themes, radio ID‘s, non-broadcast and live performances. She began her career in music, studying piano at USC from age of eight and concertizing internationally in the award-winning Young International Trio until age 19 when she began singing in the studios. An acting career seemed to follow her pianistic abilities and included a two-year principal role on General Hospital playing concert pianist Katharine Delafield. She has performed in classic albums such as Aretha Franklin’s “United Together,” Quincy Jones’ “Back on the Block” and Madonna’s “True Blue.” Some of her more recent work with recording artists includes Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Harry Styles (Jeff Bhasker), Herb Alpert, 30 Seconds to Mars, Awolnation, The Weeknd (Sephan Moccio), Nate Ruess (Jeff Bhasker) and the Used, and for television projects she has worked on Fuller House, Now We Here, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Hairspary Live, The Pentatonix Christmas Special, When We Rise, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Imaginary Mary and Save me. She has also worked on these films: “Solo” for John Powell, “Wonder Park” and “Suicide Squad” for Steven Price; “Tag” for Germaine Franco, “The Boss Baby” for Hans Zimmer and Steve Mazzaro, “Hidden Figres: for Hans Zimmer, Pharrell and BenWallfish; “La La Land” for Justin Hurwitz, Marius de Vries and Steven Gizicki; “Storks” for Mychael and Jeff Danna, “Ghostbusters 2” for Theodore Shapiro, and many more.

Children’s Music Fund provides music therapy and musical instruments to children with chronic or life-altering illnesses, such as different forms of cancer, blood disorders, lung/heart/kidney disease, autism, and immune-deficiencies to help improve their quality of life.
