It’s your favorite event! Comedy Night: Laughter Is Medicine fundraiser is Children’s Music Fund’s biggest night of the year, and this year’s lineup might be our best yet: Tom Papa, Kira Soltanovich, Caroline Rhea, Asif Ali, Al Madrigal, and Owen Smith!
The story behind the laughter
In 2002, our founder met a teenage patient named Justin, a gifted guitarist who’d lost hope after his last cancer treatment failed. There wasn’t a single guitar in the hospital, so he bought Justin one himself. What happened next became the reason Children’s Music Fund exists.
Today, that same idea — that Music Therapy can reach a child when almost nothing else can — powers everything we do. We meet kids where they are, physically and emotionally, delivering 100% donor-supported Music Therapy through board-certified Music Therapists in hospitals, treatment centers, at home, and via telehealth. The goal is simple: restore joy, ease fear, enhance mental wellness, and help every child on their journey to a better quality of life.
